When it comes to start-ups there is no one better out there to understand what it takes to run with an idea; weave through seemingly inextricable hurdles and leap into the unknown, with only the firmness of our belief in our vision to clutch at, as we swim towards the light at the end of the tunnel. Yes, we know! We know because we too have waded through sleepless nights; seen our most powerful ideas come crumbling down; learnt to balance our books the hard way and mourned at the loss of our most valuable talent as they choose to walk away.

At Startup Café we aren’t just a bunch of workstations with free coffee close at hand. We are not space sellers but mind expanders. Our DNA is inexorably linked to first-generation entrepreneurship in the technology space. We have created startups that have, in many ways, changed the face of Information Technology in India. We live and operate at the cutting edge of technology and knowledge and Startup Café is our expression of new-gen entrepreneurship handholding and schooling.

Led by one of the early stalwarts of IT, we bring on board among the best entrepreneurial minds to mentor our new-gen incubatees, helping them find their feet while enabling them to hit the ground running when they are ready. Startup Café

Incubation Lab

Startup Café (SUC) will provide incubation space to budding entrepreneurs with EduTech and FinTech product ideas in its 2000sqft incubation centre setup in Kolkata, backed by the best entrepreneurial minds in the country. Eligible startups will be allowed to participate in the 6-month incubation program that includes workspace with technology amenities, mentorship sessions by seasoned entrepreneurs and learning interventions equipping them with the nuances of running a startup. With a partnership with IAN, successful incubatees of Startup Café will get an opportunity to pitch their MVPs to the IAN members and get necessary funding to scale their ventures. The purpose of the program is to promote entrepreneurship in India by mentoring incubatees, helping them find their feet while enabling them to hit the ground running when they are ready.

Learning Lab

Startup Café (SUC) will deliver competency-based education and skills curricula for budding entrepreneurs, as well as those in the other stages of their entrepreneurial journey. The basic purpose of these curricula, ranging from 1-day workshops to 6-month training programmes, is to acquaint the entrepreneurs with the knowledge of various high end technologies, emerging market trends and new-gen business practices. Armed with these areas of expertise, the entrepreneurs will be able to wade through sleepless nights that every person experiences as part of their entrepreneurial journey; see their most powerful ideas come crumbling down, learn to balance their books the hard way and mourn at the loss of their most valuable talent when the latter chooses to walk away, while they continue to build a startup that will change the face of EduTech and FinTech domains in India.
